Code of Conduct

Respecting Human Rights

Our employees are our greatest assets. We therefore treasure
their safety, health and wellbeing. We make sure all employees
are properly trained, work in a safe environment and have
access to protective clothing and other equipment.

Fair Wages
All our employees are paid in accordance with legal and
sector requirements.
We offer salaries that are at least 10% above the national
minimum wage.

Wages are set above the National Minimum Wage and
reviewed annually. The Company also regularly review
wages to reflect general economic conditions

Supply Chain Responsibility

We are committed to long-term relationships with our supply
chain partners. We select and work with trustworthy partners
that believe in our values.

The basic rules of behaviour as described in this Code of
Conduct are also applicable for our suppliers. Our
suppliers are carefully screened in order to guarantee this.
We support our suppliers to assess their social and
environmental impact and train them to implement good
agricultural practices.

We know the suppliers we work with and are aware of the
exact origin of all our raw materials.
We practice FSSC22000 V5 system and we keep documents
to evidence it

Labour Practices

Our employees are our greatest assets. We therefore treasure
their safety, health and wellbeing. We make sure all employees
are properly trained, work in a safe environment and have
access to protective clothing and other equipment.
Each accident is one too many. We are committed to
providing our employees with a safe and secure
workplace. All our workers are trained to work in a safe
manner and receive adequate protective clothing and
protective equipment. First aid kits are present and
medical assistance is given without delay.

As part of Operating Procedures, all workers receive
training on GMP.
Each worker is also trained on the particular equipment
s/he uses for work
Specific instructions are also posted close to the machine
to guide usage
Safety latches and covers are also installed to prevent
accidents
Adequate PPEs are also given to employees for their
personal safety and wearing of PPEs is also mandatory.

Impact on Local Communities

We strive to be an active ‘corporate citizen’ in our communities.
We respect the rights of our local communities, but more than
that we find it important to contribute to local communities.

We are committed to being a corporate citizen in the
communities where we operate. Whenever possible, we
hire local employees and buy local products.
We offer employee volunteer programs to give back to the
communities we work in.

We offer internship to at least 2
persons during their long vacation. We also have an MOU
with SNV Green to offer internship to the youth in the
community

support of all our stakeholders including our customers, employees and the community in which we operate.

We do this by analysing stakeholder interest and designing policies and programs to meet their needs on a continuous
basis. These policies and programs are what we capture in our Code of Conduct to guide our behaviour as we serve our
stakeholders.

Enforcing our Code of Conduct

At GKV we believe that a Code of Conduct alone is not enough and so we are committed to actively promote and work on
good business practices which are in line with our code. Our employees receive regular training about the Code of
Conduct and challenges are openly discussed. In addition, we have separate assurance for the CSR specifications as
outlined in the Code of Conduct.
