After being diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure, Kojo Nunoo decided to go on a relentless search to discover a remedy for his health crises. Finally, after many tryouts, he landed on coconut oil, which stabilized his condition astoundingly. That was when the passion for coconut was ignited.
Within a short period, production quadrupled from 50 to 200 nuts and then finally hit 400 nuts! After giving family and friends samples to try, the feedback was tremendous. This then motivated Kojo to even work harder leading to Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to finally approve it for mass market consumption.

Through thorough research and help from family and friends, GKV Investment Limited, the mother company of ava coconut oil was born. Eventually, in January 2016, construction fully began in Takoradi and by December, the dream had finally become a reality. Production had started.
